Ive got 4 eggsacs now(which I would be happy to trade off for other inverts ;) ), as one just hatched(and the babies are the size of D. Hydei fruit flies!) of some sort of black widow mimic spider that lives under the bricks in my backyard. I was hoping to get a positive ID on the spider and some care info on the hatchlings. As said before the hatchlings are about the size of a D. Hydei fruit fly, and are white in color. How do I care for such tiny hatchlings? Do I just let them cannibalize each other until they get large enough to manage?

Here is a picture of an adult female that I just captured:

Sorry for the bad quality pic... hope it helps.

Thanks,
Andrew

It´s probably a black variant of Steatoda grossa. The spiderlings are very good hunters and build small sticky webs. They will catch prey larger than them selves. Small mosquitoes and flies will be good. Older ones will eat ants, beatles and woodlice as well.
