In this situation we need photos.

after that we can try and guess.

i will assume this was an internet order. Unboxed and now it looks bad. Travel can put a lot of effort on tarantulas.

first things first: new enclosure has a water dish.

Pic and vid
I cant see vid but photo does not look good 😱😨

give it a chance.

maybe drop a droplet of water in its mouth.

is it still alive?

it could of course be under shock. At this point youre not going to do mouth to mouth.

so put in enclosure. Drop a droplet of water in mouth.

wait.

could be dead on arrival.

could this be DKS as videos online show what it was doing when i seen in its original tank, jerky movements spin in circle, lack of coordination legs curled and attacking thin air.

I would find it strange that a dealer send you a sick spider. Who is your dealer? Where did you order from?

Dead on arrival happens.

Shock is also a possibility. We are entering “winter” months in terms of shipping.

Its way too soon to jump the gun and call this DKS. It could be bad luck. It happens.

Put it in enclosure, like i said. Do that asap and leave it alone. Give it water. Wait a day or two.

If someone just gave it to you, who knows. Thats all odd. Previous owner would have noticed.

All of this is weird, and very unsual given your circumstances.

Talk to owner.

Looks like you had great ambitions for a possibly dead tarantula.

How big is the spider? Your enclosure might be too big. GBB will web over most decorations in time. But we are far from there yet. And for the record, no GBB ever gets that big to need all that space. It can use it though.

at this point, we need to see if your tarantula lives.

GBB for Green Bottle Blue aka Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens

Known for xeric capabilities. Thus need for dry substrate. Needs webbing anchors. A hide, a water dish.

Videos don't work well on this platform. I think I saw before that people need to upload to YouTube and share that way?

Either way, normally a tarantula on its back would be trying to molt, but the behaviours you're describing (spinning around, attacking nothing, having no coordination) signify something else--maybe DKS, and maybe a different issue.

Do you see any fluid leaking anywhere that would suggest a fall? If you do see that and it's minor enough, you can dab some cornstarch where fluid is coming from, and that will help it to clot.

If your neighbour was evicted and had to make a fast exit, maybe something happened in the process, like an injury or chemical exposure or something else.

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do at this point but make sure water is available and then wait. When you say you're treating it for dehydration, what do you mean? You'll want to have a water dish available or drop water onto its mouth with a dropper, but don't put it on a bunch of moist paper towels or anything. That can make things worse.

The substrate is too low and there’s a deer horn in there that could impale the spider . But what your description sound like is dks or dehydration .

The only reason i don’t want to push DKS is the circumstances in which this member acquired their tarantula.

I would have checked out tarantula before taking it in.

Its not impossible. But thats like, hey mate heres my almost dead sick tarantula, care for it.

Yeah, I don't want to make assumptions and know that evictions can happen in lots of ways and for lots of reasons, but I'm thinking more like if there's any move-out cleaning taking place (I know--not often in eviction scenarios) or if someone is packing things hastily and the spider was one of them.... Or, the spider was already sick, and the person being evicted has too many other things on their mind to notice or make it a priority. etc., etc. It's all pure speculation, but given the state of the tarantula, one has to wonder.

It sounds like the OP is trying to do all the right things, and I'm hoping for a good outcome.

There is nothing wrong with your train of thought. This is why its a forum and welcomed. Different point of views.

Besides, if only one opinion was welcomed, this place would suck hahaha. I like your contributions and time/effort you put it. It makes it worth considering.

This situation, is very unsual. Not like people ordering slings online.

Its very “freak accident”.

What’s the size of the T?

Not enough sub. Is that open? Is the mesh on the roof? Mesh on the roof is unsafe for Ts they can get their legs stuck there or get through it.

I would add more sub (coco fibre) and remove most stuff from inside.

if it is repeatedly turning back onto its back it is attempting to molt. Add some humidity and LEAVE IT ALONE
