i sent a picture for you guys to see
It's in pre-molt. Can you post pictures of the entire enclosure? It seems very large compared to the tarantula

I'm new to T's just learning. why is it important to not have a large enclosure? I've been hearing elswhere that you should not use a large enclosure.

A couple reasons:
1) if the enclosure is too TALL and doesn't have enough substrate then there's a risk that the Tarantula would climb to the top and then fall (we are these threads more often than one would hope would be the case)
2) if the enclosure is too big on a horizontal level (length/width) then it can make locating the food difficult for tarantulas in smaller life stages. This one is less of a concern, for me personally, because eventually the tarantula and its prey item will come into proximity together

I would definitely put more substrate in, there's a lot of distance between the top of the substrate and the lid.

Can you take an overhead picture of the entire enclosure?

meaning? sorry to ask, what's an enclosure?
The enclosure is the cage / terrarium / container / tank that you use to hold your spider. You've just posted photographs of your enclosure. Now we can see what people will say about it. For one thing -- and apologies if my eyes are overlooking something -- but do you have a water bowl?

you need to add substrate up about half way if at all possible!

The substrate is too dry. I would pick a corner and pour some water down it until the lower portion of substrate is damp, while still keeping the surface dry. Also, I would remove those rocks. They like to dig and burrow and those are too heavy to risk them falling on them.

Take out the rocks and preferably replace that drift wood with something lighter like cork bark. If your spider decides to dig under either of those and they shift it can crush the spider
