Hello all,

I got this spider a while ago labelled as "Nemesiidae sp. tansania silver" but I doubt it is even a Nemesiidea...
any more info would be greatly appreciated!
TIA!

Hi
Looks to be some sort of Barychelid, and if this thread is anything to go by then the species is most likely Pisenor notis.
Anyway see what you think.
Cheers
Chris

Thanks for the replies guys!
Cyphonisia also looks very similar to my spider.
So what are the differences between Cyphonisia sp. and Pisenor sp?

hi,
Pisenor sp. have only two spinnerets and a recurved fovea, Cyphonisia have 2-4 and a transverse (sometimes procurved) fovea.
Additionally the scopula on tarsi I & II is long, thin, and divided by setae at Cyphonisia sp.
