My mom got a baby bearded dragon. I helped her get the cage set up and I told her the items to get. I did forget one thing about bearded dragons. For young bearded dragons is a 93-95 degrees good for a basking area? This bearded dragon is 3-4 inches.

Ya thats ok, I used to used a 50watt heat lamp in a ten gallon tank for babies. Just put a stick in there so that they can crawl up near the basking lamp if they want a warmer temp.

Also there are alot of threads on bearded dragons in this section if your looking for more info, just search 'bearded dragon' and youll propably get 100+ hits!

Enjoy your new critter!:)

With my beardie, 95-100 degrees was my original basking temp, and now that he's grown larger (10-11 inches), he's started basking at 110 degrees. A smaller beardie is more easily dehydrated and fragile to temps, so as long as you're in the 90-100 degree range you should be okay.
