I am looking for common, or scientific name for a small green lizard. They almost resemble a small grass snake with tiny legs.

I just need a name so I can find some info.

Thanks

A pic would help if you can get one, however, quite a few small, snake-like lizards have been popping up at pet stores recently so try doing a google search for Tachydromus sp. and see what you get.

Takydromas sexlineatus

Hey, cool thanks

Attempting to set up a communal tank for a variety of the cheap little lizards commonly found.

I had seen a setup in one of the better pet shops, with Green anoles and this long tailed lizard housed together and it seemed to work.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

how long are these tails? longer than the length of the body? and are they all green or are they brownish with a large green stripe down their back? I ask because recently I've seen sold "Long Tailed Grass Lizards". Here are some pics:

Hi,

I just read an article about them. Scientific name: Takydromus sexlineatus. They breed easily, lay 1-3 eggs (usually 2)! One female can lay eggs in every 2-3 weeks. You can keep males together without any problem. You should keeep more females than males (you know males like girls too much :D ). It seems they don't kill their offsprings, If they hatch out in the same enclosure.
Hope it helps!
