I'd like to suggest Maní (Mah-nee) for your female. This spawns from my interest in associating names for specimens based around the history within the area they're located (Brazil being that region,) so if you look up the amazonian legend involving the Tupy and the myth of Maní, you'll be able to view its origin and significance.

You only have four options:

1. Joan Rivers III

2. Oroku Saki

3. Tigers Love Pepper (this is more in the horse racing naming tradition)

4. Gurgi

I have a female P. metallica named "The Darkness" and a female P. regalis named "Elvira." I like those names. :) There's always the overused "Shelob" as well.

I usually just look up names that either mean the color of the tarantula or the origin it's from. For instance my OBT sling is named Njeri since its from Africa, and my P. irminia from Venezuela is Enzo (I chose this for the Ferrari Enzo mainly lol)
And my L. Violaceopes is Azzurra (variation of blue) :alien:

I started naming them after Lorem Ipsum, the senseless placeholder text graphic designers use.

Please don't use Shelob I beg you lol

I recommend you wait for your T to arrive and care for it a week, I think you'll find a name will come to you based on the temperament etc. =) Most of my Ts names are based on temperament or appearance, for example, my a.avic is named "Fuzzy" for appearance and p.irminia named "Phantom" for temperament.

Also have an auratum named "Burton" because his huge black butt made me think of Gus's head from Psych =P (I'm serious haha)

yeah shelobs lame I would go with ungoliant if I was using middle earth as a reference lol. I would think adam and eve would be good names for the starters of a bloodline. or maybe mordred like the werespider in the dark tower series. or peter parker ;0

I think you should go for the ironic name approach. Like 'little John' in Robin Hood...

For example you can call your Chilean rose 'ultimate annihilation', or 'dark destroyer'....
...and your OBT 'Flopsy'
