Name that spider

Looks like a lycosid of some kind to me. It's eyes are all facing forward so that rules out hogna.

I think. :?

I'm new to the whole spider identification thing.

Yep it's Dolomedes but have not heard any definate to what species.

What makes you think that?

Now that I see the large web, I know it's not a lycosid. Not to mention the fact that lycosids carry their eggsacks on thier spinnerrets, not their jaws. Plus, they keep their younguns on their backs. :wall: Stupid me.

I thought Dolomedes rested with their legs out.

you´re a lucky guy!

That´s one of my US-favourites Dolomedes albineus, great spider!

Wish i had some of that slings. What´s the story behind this specimen?
