Mysterious bug?

It's definitely a dead bird, not a bug ;):rofl:.

Seriously now, kind of hard to tell as the angle is bad and you can't see the whole body, but it looks like some sort of roach species. That is quite a sight!

They're definitely beetles, but not carrion beetles (although their coloration is superficially similar to Nicrophorus sp, they're clearly not that).

My guess is that they're some sort of scarabaeid (yes, some scarabs feed on flesh) or carabid beetle, but beyond that I have no idea.

Randomly remembered this thread cuz I figured out what they are. Carabid beetles in the genus Craspedophorus.
