You would get better responses if you posted this in the watering hole.

It isn't exactly legal to ship tarantulas and scorpions either.
Agreed, I've shipped Latrodectus sp. through the Fedex/USPS as well. Plus, scorpions like deathstalkers and fat tails are shipped probably daily.

He's doing nothing wrong.

What I do when I ship anything with toxic venom(not tarantulas), I write warning, dangerous, venomous, caution, etc. on the container the spider is actually in to prevent any accidents just in case someone actually did open it during transit.

Novak, I think you might have misread that.

@drgonzo
It isn't exactly illegal to ship this stuff. The shippers have rules in place but that doesn't mean you are breaking the law. Don't know about other outfits but USPS only allows venomous scorpions to be shipped for venom research only. That's it. So if you decide to pick on Mynameisyours, you'd better have something to say to just about everyone that's ever sold anything to be sent out by mail. This is not a good way to pick a fight if that's what your trying to do.

This doesn't mean that they (USPS) can't take any legal action from any wrong doing either though.

Actually, it is a violation of federal LAW to ship venomous snakes via common carrier, not just "against the carrier's rules". Tarantulas don't fall under the same designation... shipping them is merely a case of "thy have every right to refuse to ship it if they find out what it is", but the law is not involved. WIth venomous snakes and common carriers, there are actually federal laws being broken.

Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Try not to be such a baby about it next time.
