For the past 2-3 weeks i see my wolf spiders try to escape their enclosure. I have them both for 3 months now, and I keep them of course in separated enclosures. They've never acted like that before. Anyone knows whats wrong with these wolvies?

How old are they? Are they mature? Male or female? They may be looking for mates. It is also in their nature to be active prowlers and hunters, so they are quite active compared to other spiders like orb weavers or even many tarantulas. I've had wolf spiders wear a visible track around the perimeter of their enclosure before. (Those enclosures were a bit on the small side.) My current wolf spider (Hogna sp. Tucson - possibly H. carolinensis) is in a larger enclosure, with more cage decor like bits of dried shrub, hollow cholla, and other obstacles for her to climb over, under, or around - so she doesn't just run in circles like some of my previous spiders had done.

Heck, be thankful. My last one didn’t try to escape, it succeeded.
