My what blue eyes you have...pic..

Found my EDB getting ready to shed and loved the blue eyed look so I snapped a few shots. Temper on him was off the charts mad wise but I can't really blame him. enjoy

What a gorgeous snake. How big is he? Was the pic taken just out of strike range, or does the camera take good close-ups? I'd like to see some freshly-shed pics of him.

Yes he has some nastiness to him.

And the size is around the 4 and 1/2 to 5 foot range leaning more towards 4 and 1/2. The pic was taken about 2 feet from him so yeah it was in strike range but I always watch for signs of a strike coming and am careful when getting that close. Pretty much if you pay attention to the body language you'll be fine and in truth the snake doesn't tend to strike wildly only when grabbed or touched. Once he's coiled unless I get real close he just buzzes and stays ready.
