It's roughy 1" to 1"2 inches /// I'm still waiting for an upcoming molt (im expecting it within a week or 2) To sex it and to identify it. I'm hoping it may me a Grand Canyon Black (Aphonopelma behlei) But I doubt it :(






These 3 pics were at nighttime, ehnce the darker shade on the T from the other 3



It's original burrow... I ahd about 6 burrows in a 30 sq. feet area... 3 were inhabited so I snatched one before my dogs ate them (yea, my dogs eat arachnids)


I apologize in advance If i'm breaking any rules :( First post ya know... Read the rules but it takes me while to thoroughly understand them.

What is the exact locale where you found the spider?

I know that A. hentzi are found in north Texas, but I'm not sure how far south they are and the picture made me immediately think of A. hentzi.

Then again, I'm horrible at recognizing Ts native to the US, but I know there are several people here who have collected in south Texas.

Thats not A behlei they are only found in areas were the trees are pine oak or juniper. Nice spider however.
