My two Poecilus Cupreus

I have been keeping two Poecilus Cupreus, and they are beautiful and fascinating beetles. They like playing dead (freaked me out the first few times they did it) and I am still experimenting on their diet. I know they love apple, the slice I put in was devoured.

Sorry for the bad picture quality, they move very fast and love to burrow so it’s hard to take photos.

Update: it seems they like carrots as well!

I haven’t been able to find much information about their lifespan. I am hoping to catch some more and breed them, but I don’t know how feasible that is
