I know what you mean I have a Minolta Dimage Z2 as well and it's really hard to get decent shots in low light. But with enough light it does an awesome job. I just figured out the macro function on mine and I'm really happy with it now, I can take some nice close shots of my Ts.

Good pics, and cute spiders. G rosea is adorable. Fuzzy egg with legs!
