Some backstory: I’m relatively new to the whole spider keeping thing (although I’ve kept inverts, reptiles, amphibians, and fish my whole life) and something that has kept me from getting into this hobby for so long is the fact that I don’t like tarantulas... That’s right, I don’t like tarantulas, the creep me out... but true spiders don’t at all!! They’re interesting, entertaining, and sometimes cute! I currently have three different spiders, all different species, I used to have a zebra jumping spider (Salticus scenicus) But it passed away due to unknown causes. Okay!! So here’s my full (spider) collection D49DAB39-7182-41BA-82EE-C13B391D32DC.jpeg (By the way, the enclosure under the tub doesn’t have a spider in it, it’s where I keep a colony of isopods)
Okay, I’m going to start off with my first addition! My orb-weaver ED0F114D-47C2-4D88-862C-DA97BEAAF7CD.jpeg

Im not sure what species this is (Sorry for the terrible photo rip) I found this little guy living in my room on my shelves between my axolotl aquarium and my crested gecko enclosure. Once I found the little guy I decided to capture him and put him in this tub, so I could view him closer, and see what he’s up to! (Not much)

(This little one was hiding and I had just moved it over to a new enclosure so, I didn’t want to mess up the enclosure looking for it) Next on the list of my spiders is my Tan Jumping Spider or Platycryptus Undatus, It’s really entertaining come dinner time and it seems like it’s always hungry!

This is my Phiddipus Audax or Bold Jumper and it’s the first spider I’ve ever kept (as you can tell I haven’t kept them long) this little one has been SUPER interesting to keep and I love to show it to anyone who doesn’t think spiders can be cute!!
Okay, so that’s my entire collection of spiders, I’m wanting to get some more true spiders at Cold Blooded Expos Tulsa, I’ll be there looking for other arachnids too *cough* scorpions *cough* okay well, thanks for reading this thread! Bye!!

I've got about 20 or so healthy northern widow juvies that I'm actively studying. I've got about 200 more that I plan on dispersing into the forest in my area, where their mother was found.

Aww I wish I could get me some widows

Fortunately I have a massive female steadota and a male cohabiting so I'm expecting babas

Awesome start my bro! The jar does not look to have adequate ventilation. I would recommend putting a screen top or switch to a cheaper alternative. This would be a 32 oz deli cup with small air holes.
