Now I understand my tarantula might simply be in pre-molt, but he isn’t threat posing, or anything, just letting the cricket walk around him and in his web. Is there a reason for this or am I just overthinking it?

If showing no interest in feeder cricket,
suggest removing cricket, especially if in premolt.

Does he have a water dish? Does he use it? I like to leave a few drops on the webbing near them from time to time.

What are the temperatures in your room? They eat less when their metabolism is slower.

The larger/older he gets the longer his premolt and post molt periods will get...

If it ain't eating, it's either full or in premolt. Simply pass that cricket around to another T. Don't have a 2nd one yet by chance ? Don't worry, in time you will ;)

Yea, I have another tarantula to give it to, and I’m not just leaving it in there

Is it hydrated? Maybe not hungry….
