Well Im not saying for sure it will molt, as they can seal themselves off not related to a molt, but for the most part it does send in a molt. But yeah based on your additional info it sounds like its due for a molt! But when that will be, only it will know! Enjoy your pet dirt box until then 😎

I have two juveniles that have been buried since mid and late October, and neither of them looked like they were ready to molt when they burrowed, and neither of them look like they're ready to molt now. (I can spy on both of them through the sides--I had placed their cork bark pieces next to the sides in the hopes they'd give me windows when they burrowed, and they cooperated!) They're just in there, chilling, staying the same size, showing no signs of wanting to resurface anytime soon, and I've just gotta trust that they're not gonna let themselves starve or dehydrate.

Patience is the biggest and hardest part of it. Someone should write The Zen of Tarantula Keeping.

I started writing this awhile back as I am Taoist and studied Zen as well. This gives me another good reminder! Thanks!

No one knows , when it feels like leaving. My lp that did this abandoned its burrow because a watered it slightly and spooked it.
