1st off is how it looks today
2nd: What I want it to look like some time in the future... with 6 arboreal tanks occupying the top
3rd: An empty old tank (formerly my scorps), just showing it for variety
4th: Then some nifty containers I've found, I'm gonna buy loads of them to put any scorp babies in which survive, and also the little T's I'm gonna get this spring.
5th: The currently two occupied tanks in the bookshelf.

The Three large ones seen on pic 1 are for my fullgrown genic, the L.striatus and the parahybana. The last two T's are still kiddies, so they will be housed somewhere else until they grow up a little.

Awesome set-up you have there! Did you make those containers?

Next off a batch of my roseas tank
All tanks I've built are of the same construction, only with different measurements (I put some pictures of the big ones up in a moment).

And last but not least my collection of tools I've found use for so far... well, the beer can was very usefull indeed but I only put it in so you get some feel of the dimensions/size of stuff...

I hope you enjoyed checking my stuff out and if you have any questions regarding the tanks, feel free to ask.

They are full plexi, with wooden cornerpieces held together by aquarium silicone.

The vent plate I've siliconed on top of the lids have come from a larger sheet. I've cut them to size with metal scissors or whatever you'd call them

These pictures would have looked exponentially better with a can of RB instead.

That said, those do look like efficient containers. Once I master the photography thing and build a spider/snake room I will learn this art.

Those look extremely professional! wow... they also look as though they may cost quite a bit to construct... at any rate you should fill them all up! {D

Nope.
Erm.. I mean: Nope, they don't cost too much. Eventho you can find tanks cheaper than this, in return it is unlikly that they fit absolutely perfectly where you want them.

1 plexi sheet 3ft x 6ft costs $36
1 of those symmetrical L profile timber thingies (have absolutely now clue what you'd call them) length 8ft cost $5, a damaged or bent one $3
1 tube of a. silicone costs arround $6
1 The wire (absolutely rigid stuff that is hard to bend in the first place), length 3ft costs $0.8
Then you need the stuff to slide the doors in, (the white things on the pics), have no idea what you call that either. I got obviously 2 of those, one for the top and one for the bottom (they are of different size so that you can take the doors out if you want to). They had two parallel rows in the beginning so I sawed them in half, right in the middle and only used one of the sides. The plexi is much thinnner than glas so I didn't want them to stick into the tank and leave large gaps. 3ft cost about 4$ for top and bottom. I will make a pic of them today so you can see what I mean...

I obviously need less of some of the things, like the plexi, and more of other stuff, like the wooden corner things but all in all it will cost about $20 to build a small custom sized tank. The large ones cost arround $35.

I had to go with this option because I don't have much room either and when I got that bookshelf I wanted to snuggly fit in every future tank there, so I started building.

Those are some pro works, how much time it takes for making one?

I started out with planning and built 2 large tanks first. It took me roughly 1½ weeks to do so successfully. There where many things I had to change while being at it so it took a while. Then I built the third tank and it took me about 1½ days.

Later I converted the plans for the large tanks into the small ones, and eventho not perfect (I could have made the doors much higher) it took me about 2 days to build the three small ones.

That's what they look like. I did saw of halves of them as I only needed one half because the plexi was thin enough so that both doors would fit into one of those things.
