its always climbing up the side of the aquarium and hanging from the screen. is it trying to break out or is that just normal exploration? i'm trying to figure out if i got stuck with a mature male or not... i have no idea how to sex it.

Is your substrate wet/moist?Mine would do that if I kept the substrate moist.Since drying it out it no longer climbs...peace

Yeah, my first thought would be to lower the humidity and let the substrate dry out a little. If its too dry, it will hover over or near the waterdish. If its too wet, the will climb the sides of the tank.

Ours does this allllll the time. We raised the substrate so that even if she tries to hang, her legs are touching substrate so she can't injure herself by falling.

i'm pretty sure its not humidity. like the other day i watered the plant it sits under and b/c there was so much webbing there ended up being a pool of water and the t sitting in it, so the t walked to the other side of the aquarium and chilled out all day. it doesn't hang from the top all day. the t sits under its plant all day and then when it makes its nightly rounds it climbs up to the top and sometimes it works its way almost all the way around the top of the aquarium. last night it looked like it was trying to get out, it was going to the edges and climbing up and hanging from the screen for a while and then dropping back down to go over and try a different corner.
