I recently got this southern alligator lizard and I did some reading on them and most sources say they're only active in the day. But mine sleeps all day and comes out at night. She does come out in the day sometimes but at night she's a lot more active. Is there something wrong I'm doing? I turn off the lamps at night to see if she'd sleep but she still moves around the container. In the day time she just stays in her hide and doesn't come out.

To sum up the couple dozen books Gerald Durrell (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Durrell) wrote on this subject. Emulate in all aspects the animal's natural environment, lighting, temperature, humidity, terrain, disruptions and disturbances or lack thereof, and give it a couple of weeks to see if it's internal clock resets.
Animals are a product of their environment and capable of adaption.

Could just be settling in and getting to know her new habitat. If her tank is in a high disturbance area that can take some getting used to as well.
