I have finally invested in a digital camera so now I feel the urge to take a picture of anything and everything. Well anyway I thought I would post a few pics of my snakes. First is my ball python, second central american boa and third is my spotted python. Enjoy.

cool snakes

Nice snakes, I have considered getting a ball python myself. Are they hard to care for? :? Where is the best care sheet for ball pythons?

I highly recommend the ball/royal python, she was my first snake and by far still my favorite, it sounds stupid but they really are like big kittens in terms of temperment. As far as caring for them it really is quite easy, I keep her at about 75-85 degrees by using either a heating lamp with a 60 watt incandesent bulb in it during the day and a 25 watt night glo bulb for at night, it should get about 10 degrees cooler for them at night, you can also use a heating pad from walmart they are about ten bucks. I keep her in a 10 gallon tank with cypress mulch from lowes as substrate a branch for her to climb on and some plastic plants for her to hide behind, a hide is essential. I try to feed her a mouse a week but you will figure out that balls are very finiky eaters. Some times she will eat every week and then she will not eat for three but this is nothing to worry about. And of course you need to include a water dish, I use distilled water. If you have any other questions please ask.
