My second tarantula!

Hi all. Just wanted to announce a new arrival. I just got another spider. I got another female G. rosea. She was listed on craigslist by an awesome woman who takes in unwanted animals. Someone didn't want this beautiful spider. The woman had her for two years, but she needs to thin out her stuff. She was kind enough to let me have the adult female G. rosea and her 5 gallon glass tank for $10! Bless you Shelly, and keep up the good rescue work!

Just a word of caution, Roseas are weird. One day theyre docile as ever, then they get bitey.

I highly recommend something from the Brachypelma sp.

Thanks! I am hoping that my girls will give me a heads up if they don't want to be handled. :0 I don't handle them that much, though. Most G. rosea bite reports seem to be not so bad. I am actually a little curious about what it's like to get bitten (yes, I'm a masochist lol). It can't be worse than a full on cat bite....
