Well she was wild caught and she does look pretty plump but I wouldnt have thought she was old enough :?. She's about 3.5" from fangs to abdomen and maybe a 5" leg span. In saying that she is off her food just now, but I thought she'd likely have been clearing out her hide to give her more room to moult.

My last rosie used to do this alot, never saw a sack though, I think it's just a womanly thing, my mom does this alot, I'll just come home, furniture will be rearranged. ;P I guess i'll never understand the woman sex... plus rosies are weird!!

My A. Geniculata does this quite a bit... She just dumps all the substrate into her waterdish...

She stopped after I made her a burrow... Now, she's just webbing the place up...

I will have to say that our Chilean Rose Hair did lay an egg sack just a few days after this type of behavior. She was diggin herself a burrow up close to the corner of her dwelling that sits next to our computer monitor.

From observing your rosie there, her bulb isn't half the size as our rosies was before dropping the sack.

Ooops, now that I take a closer look, the leaf is hiding part of your spider's bulb. I would have to guess that by this time next week you will have an eggsack!!! Congrats!!!

Nice pics....Whenever our rosie starts this behavior I just sit and watch the show. Beats the hell out of TV. Our Acanthoscurria geniculata and Grammostola-pulchra often do the same. Like PapaRoacher's genic our pulchra will fill the water bowl with refuse she wants removed. :)
