For some reason, my B. dubia colony refuse to eat potatoes and apples.:?

But when I put an orange slice, it's a different story. I don't think they are just thirsty.

What is the spe in the first picture?

It has two names: Shelfordella tartara or Blatta lateralis. In Europe, we know it as Shelfordella tartara and in the US as Blatta lateralis.

In think the roaches are thirsty, they prefer orange.

Try pears too, all the roach species I've fed seem to love pears.
