My pretty newest addition!

[Miss Bianca]

Her name is Reeses, and she's sweet as can be.

I picked up this little lady last week and she's already settling into a
routine @ our home

(Pls no rodent-hate comments!)

Little known facts would be greatly appreciated though,
as I know plenty but am by no means an expert.
Just ordered some books on Amazon and can't wait to get them.
I had owned guinea pigs as a teenager but love to refresh knowledge.

I believe she's a Peruvian, and Im not sure what her coat colors are
referred to.

She's eating Guinea pellets and a little fresh vegetables here and there, carrots + rommaine..
plus alfalfa hay and vitamins every other day.
I have her in a 70qt bin with 3" carefresh pink bedding, a hide-out, and her dishes.
(This may change, as we may be getting her a playmate soon,
but not sure yet.)

The baby is about 3 months old believe it or not, maybe close to four.
Appears bigger/larger because of it's full coat..
and the hair/fur will keep on growing.
It requires a little more attention than the regular short-hairs..
Ive seen some that get so long it needs to be wrapped, up to 20"!

I love piggies! I have 1 peruvian, 2 texels, and 3 coronets. My friend shows them and I get the former breeders. If you want a good calm piggie, go to a show breeder. You can do anything to my girls. I just shaved them down for the summer. They got way out of hand(matted rears) and it was easier to shave them. Lots of greens, I clean out my crisper drawer and give them.

and hey, it is absolutely recommended to get her a cage-mate huh? :}
She seems fine now.. but I know she'd like one..

I dont mind the cage requirements so much, a downside for me is the
amount of poop and the fact that its all over not in one section of the bin, and frequency of changing the bedding too, because of this..
Its cool though..

They do seem to do better with a buddy. Just like with any 2 females
sometimes they don't get along.
