just thought i would take a few pics while i was bored.
these are a pair, the male being the more colorful.
each is about 10'' long..close to full size.
very nice temperaments, both of them.
the cage is 100 gallons, so you can get an idea as to how big the rocks are.
very amusing fellows..and seem to enjoy each others company.
they take turns basking and going down to eat.
the rock basking area is designed so that they have a nice stone cave hideout and labyrinth.
the cage looks dark away from the lamps..but this is just the way the pics came out..the cage is as bright as daytime and about 120 on the basking spot, and 90 on the other end.
in the last pic you can see the various spectrums of light.
anyone else keep any?
got any pics or stories to tell?..successes, failures?

Wow! GREAT LOOKING! How much are those there in US? Are they docile?
thanks!
yes, super docile,[once tamed, as the tails are used as weapons when caught] and great pets once you have them set up properly.
the only bad side to keeping them, is almost all of them are wild caught..and can be prone to have health issues and keeping them can be a tad tricky.
captive breeding is almost unheard of..but worth looking into.
but recommended, all the way around.:)
as far as cost..I'm not sure..i bet they can vary greatly, mine were given to me
because someone had them shipped over, and then had no idea how raise them.

If you got lots, ship them here! lol

Anyway, as I said, trully wonderful pets. Something you want to put in your living room for your guests to see!

Common reptiles there are hard to find here in the Philippines. How more for the Uro.

Gorgeous photographs... gorgeous creatures. I haven't seen any in this country before. Sold or whatnot. I'd love to get my hands on one or two, my dragon has no character. He's not a warrior or a predator, he's a door mat.
