My P. Regius sling made herself a thick nest and stayed there for 2 weeks now. I've had her for about 2 months now. Is molting supposed to take this long?

if its abdomen is plump there's no need to worry, it'll molt soon
make sure it has access to water and let it do its thing
mine has been in its hammock for around 2 weeks, maybe 3
i know it says on some websites that they will stay in their hammock for only 5-7 days before molting but that is simply
not true, no individual is the same

The true answer is there is no true answer! Jumping spiders can be extremely different from eachother. Some molt with thick nests, some with thin nests. Some molt in a day, some a few weeks of premolt. Some are super active and almost never sleep, some hardly ever leave their nests. Some eat a lot, some eat only a little. Some sleep in nests, some sleep in the open. And everywhere in between.

My P audax sling did this recently. It also took about 10-12 days to molt, it had me worried for a bit. If shes dies she dies, when these guys molt its ultimately in Gods hands. All we can do is provide them a dim stress-free environment.
