How big is she? How long have you had her? Mine does this for a week or so before a molt and then stays in there for a week or so.

she/he is about 4 inch and ive actually only had her a week haha, so tbh im not too big on the obt's, so is this basically a sign off molting?

OBTs are generally heavy webbers anyway expect to see some nice web tunnels. Maybe won't see the T often as they tend to lay thick webbing. But it could also be an impending molt also. ( I don't own this T but I've read up a bit on them and seen a few vidoes/pictures).

i cant wait for the web tunnels!, just atm its in the top corner off its tank tucked under a piece off wood in a thick web coccoon looking thing, i think its pre-molt but i dont know how long this will last, i think this molt will determine if he or she matures too a mature male, if not i have a female!

They definitely love to web. You've only had her a week so I don't know if she's in premolt or just building her new home. Mine would build herself in but usually hang a couple of legs out one side or the other. If I didn't see the legs for a few days than she was most likely ready to molt. They grow really fast, although yours shouldn't get too much bigger. But I think they molt often even as adults too. Luckily, they're a dangerous species so you have a good excuse to just leave her be and see what she does!

I'm trying a new type of house for my 2.25" OBT. It's an extra large (clear) starbucks coffee cup. I'd like to see how she webs this. So far she's only webbed on the surface and made a ground level tunnel that kind of comes up the sides of the enclosures but by giving her a taller, rather than wider enclosure I'd like to see if she builds downward. Eventually she's going to get a large KK anyway so it's just an experiment :)

wow, sounds so cool man! and well mine, she looks like shes started too web up the enclosure as there is very fine webs everywhere, but then looks like shes just gone for a rest haha, and hasn't moved from were she is for the past couple off days haha, and mine isn't hanging any legs out, she's fully wrapped up haha,

Aggressive? mine literally wants too eat me. i hate too bother her too much but if i even tap the enclosure, she's straight up ready too attack. i love her for it though! :p

Living up to her rep! Mine hasn't done that yet. She's extremely fast but usually just retreats to her hide. It would be cool if she never became the aggressive type, even though that's why I got her :p but still, after having her I'm a little nervous about it lol.

when i got her, so many pet shop owners were trying too 'warn' me about them, i actually want more now haha, the obt's are so interesting, the aggresive nature is the coolest thing about them, but if yours is one off the rarer calm ones, then lucky!, just lets see if you'll have a go at handling it? ;)

I really don't mean to be rude, but don't worry about you tarantulas so much. They don't do anything "weird" in most cases, and it's usually just normal stuff. P. murinus are heavy webbers and most stay secluded.
In other news, OBTs are a favorite of mine as well, and my name's Thomas, too :p

My Pterinochilus chordatus keeps itself cocooned at almost all times. It's a genus thing, and I think it's really cool. So yeah, if you think it's in premolt, just wait it out.

If there are any signs of an impending molt, I wouldn't do it. However, if the webbing-up thing is the only thing that leads you to suspect the molt, go ahead. OBTs will sometimes actively hunt their food, and sometimes they sit and wait. So basically, just think about whether or not it's gonna molt soon.
