I christened her "Ms. Fuzzy". This is my sixth Tarantula, being that I already had the five G. pulchra slings from james, I now have a sub-adult G. rosea to add to my collection. She wasn't to happy when I got her out though, no hair flicking - just straight up threat displays. However she appeared in very good condition, was all together with no injuries (excellent packing by VengfulHerp) and I think when she has cooled off, she'll be content to lounge around rather than attack the paintbrush or straws. She's very pretty, and stronger than I expected - additionally unlike the bigger rosie my brother has... this one climbs glass and sticks to it like a pro. I attribute that to being smaller, and lighter though - although I think I need to get a good latch for the lid now lol.

So, my spider count is now at 6, and hope to make it 7 soon with one more sub-adult female rose to live next door to Ms. Fuzzy. Plus, at $10 I consider it a great deal for an awesome T.

I just fed her a cricket ten minutes ago, to see if she would accept food after letting her cool down for 4 hours - unfortunately my ability to isolate it to one at a time is not exactly perfect and three of them got in there (I had a bag of them). She LAUNCHED herself at the crickets, and pretty much had her way with all three of them, and is munching on one now.

I think now that she'll be fed for the next few days, it'll calm her down. A happy tummy is a full tummy...

Edit: Ms. Fuzzy right after I got her
(scroll down for "Feeding Ms. Fuzzy")
I plan to take more pictures when she finishes her dinner.

I took pictures of her as she ate, there was one left it turns out - two down and the third one I thought she killed escaped for a while, but she snagged it in front of me as I took glamor shots. I'm not feeding her again for about a week!
