I just brought home my new pinktoe named the Brain. (First thought for name: Pinky--Too predictable. I went with the Brain instead.)
I bought 8 crickets. I threw most in with my giant striped knee, because he's four times the size of the pink toe and hadn't eaten in a while. I threw the other two in with the Brain and walked away. Ten minutes later I peeked in and he was eating both at once! The Brain is a total badass! They told me at the shop he'd just eaten on Wednesday, too. He's a growing spider, I guess.
I had a pinktoe as my first spider years ago, but she didn't eat anything I threw in there and "died." Now that I have more experience, I realize she was probably just molting. Woops. Anyhow, is it normal for pinktoes to be such voracious eaters? My other guy isn't anything like that!
I tried to get some pictures for you guys.
