Yay, she arrived yesterday. Happy as a clam (well a tarantula). She's settled in. She isn't using the hide I gave her, instead she's sitting between two fake plants that she's rigged up with webbing. Someone ought to tell her that I can still see her.

This is such a cool species, they get extremely large and are super docile. Also very interesting to watch, mine always seems completely active and almost always out in the open where i can see her. I hope you enjoy yours as much as i enjoy mine! She is the only specimen in my collection that has a name, and although i have sold my collection multiple times, i have always kept her. So that is saying something about these ;).

Cheers

I guess I'll tell mine to work on that intresting to watch bit. She's been "hiding" out in the open all day.

Alrighty, here she is. She wasn't much into the idea of pictures and my camera was not liking the idea either. Anyway this is the best I got.

I'll try to get some better ones later.

Ha they are a bit more interesting than you would expect at times, mine is the only specimen i would ever consider "social", and that meaning im giving an arachnid a human like characteristic which it little deserves, however, every time i go into the kitchen she comes out to "greet" me. Often times she might be in her hide, when you open the lid to her KK she will come out to have a look. I have actually had her come out, crawl out of her KK onto the lid, and sit there as i pull out cricket remains, change her water, etc. Afterwards i just leave the lid open and she walks right back in. Its pretty amazing in some ways. Shes quite the character. I named her "Big Gurl" and she fits the description perfectly ;). I love her more than anything, shes definately the life of my collection. Although she does not get my heart pumpin like some specimens, she definately has earned a special place in it :D.

Cheers
