My mom found something weird last night...

I wasn't able to look at it because by the time she told me to come look, it ran down the bathroom sink. She said it kind of looked like a cricket at first, but the underside looked like a spider. Also that it was white and about an inch long. This is in kinda south-central Kansas. Any ideas?

I'm not sure...do Jerusalem crickets bite? Because this bit my mom and left a little whitish circle.

i imagine they could give a little nip, but they usually kick with their spiked legs in defense

I've heard of Jerusalem Crickets biting...but that description didn't make me think of a Jerusalem Cricket...it actually made me think of an alien creature, but that's beside the point.

I'm sure she would have mentioned all the legs and S.coleoptrata can't bite a human.
Maybe a camel cricket but their bites wouldn't leave a white circle, just a minor cut.
