My mice are here!

Hey guys! i got three female mice today. they are confirmed female and are just so nice. one of them, i was told, is believed to be pregnant (shhhhhhhh dont tell my mother ) and the other three are just so darn cute. the goal with these is to train them to do tricks and come when called. ill post my results and pics on here as soon as i can. when i got them i was a bit scared. i love the petstore i bought them from and trust them but the only one on display was bleeding and beaten up. turns out it was "bullied" and was in the seperate cage to protect it. they went to the breeding room and brought my darlings out. in total it cost me 63 dollars. the cage was 55 and the mice were 7. i love them. pics coming soon!

Congratulations on the mice! Are they white, or multi colored? I like mice.

They all have different colors. One is light black, the other is white, and the pregnant one is brown with a white belly.

I've got a little experience with marker training. I did some work with my cats, but cats are much more difficult than dogs! I only managed to teach them some basic manners, no fancy tricks. Hopefully mice will be a little more cooperative--they can't possibly be as stubborn as cats!!

What will you use as treats? What kind of tricks are you hoping to teach them?

Has anyone made realistic setups for their mice, like with peat moss for substrate and straw to build burrows and nest, and log caves like for reptiles to hide in, even domestic mice enjoy digging and burrowing and lots of natural chew foods, swimming too but you have to be careful with that.

Mine refuse to leave the second floor of the three floor cage. I put a house in their cage and the moved in immediately. I'm going to take it out and make another hole so they can reach the stair properly
