Happy day today! My little 'special needs' Peru Purple sling has finally moulted.
The 'special needs' part has to do with the fact that it was crippled when I got it, with the palps, front leg and both chelicerae stuck in an old moult. I really didn't want to give up on the little guy though and had been feeding it squashed up cricket drumsticks three times a week for the last month (fun thing to do with a ~1cm sling that keeps trying to leg it!)
I'm so happy that my effort's payed off with a successful moult. They're a bit small but it definitely has palps and a new leg and is completely free of the old skin this time
Here's a before pic
and after
It's a bit smaller than its sibling, but I don't care
And just for fun, here's its sibling (moulted a few days ago)
