My jumping spider lost his pedipals

I have a male phidippus regius jumping spider. He lost one of his pedipalas on his net!!!
Is it normal??

That doesn't sound too bad ( I'm new as of twenty seconds ago so don't take my advice, I'm just bumping your thread up) I keep jumping spiders and it doesn't seem like that would be to much of a problem. I have a wolf spider with only six legs ( I know, different but still..) and she's doing great!!!

Is it "normal"? No. Will it live a normal life? Yes.
They are mainly sight hunters. If you keep in mind that it may need a bit of extra help then it will thrive.

If he is not a mature adult he can regenerate the palp so he'll get it back the next time he molts.
