My jumper is just killing the flies and not eating them??

Hello all! My jumping spider has been killing the flies I’ve given them but he hasn’t eaten them
He’s just killing them?? Does this mean that he’s toward the end of his life?? Or is there another explanation

He has passed but here are the pictures
He’s always have eaten those flies but I noticed that the flies were killed but not eaten two days ago and this morning he passed away

He did recently molt and his behavior changed afterwards, so I’m not sure if that also contributed to his passing
