Nice pictures! Is that a piece of sponge in the blondi's water dish? If it is you may want to just use a shallower water dish, the sponges just grow funk that can be harmful to your T.

That g. rosea looks particularly like the one sold to me as femalre that matured into a male. It exhibited this nice copper color on its carapace for three or four moults before it got its boxing gloves. I sent him (then named Aretha) out to be bred, and the taker said that color is indicative of maleness in g. rosea.

Just my two cents. Beautiful T. Blondi btw.

Nice collection. :)

Do you have any other shots of your G. rosea. It doesn't look like a typical G. rosea to me...

If you mean the coloration,
my first rosea was kind of dark like that. maybe thats how they look as they get old.

shes about 15 (probably older because she was big when I got her) I am 23. I got her in forth grade.

The fuzzy-looking whitish things in the left-hand side of the blondi tank--is that mold?? If so you will want to get rid of it, as it is hazardous to your T's health-especially if you are going to increase the moisture levels in there.

its funny you should mention that b/c today she was acting really funny and I posted for some advice on what to do to rectify the situation and I came to the conclusion based on what has been said and what I have read that tomorrow I am changing out all the substrate and starting fresh. thanks for the input. I just hope she gets back to normal

I like the stripe knee its easy to maintain and fun to watch- when you catch it in action that is. it seems to be an opurtunistic borrower b/c it seems to enjoy its terracotta pot just fine. but sometimes I will catch her balling up her substrate and pulling it back to make a borrow, shes made a tunnel under her water dish but I haven't caught her in it yet. with that said I think it would be a great spider to own! goodluck with your decision!
