Nice! I love the chazuta. I think they're at the top of the list for my next frogs. Are they active and bold? My uakarii are always on the moveDendrobates tinctorius "Cobalt"
Phyllobates terribilis "Orange"
Ranitomeya imitator "Chazuta"
Ranitomeya uakarii
The little guys were hard to get a decent picture of with my phone. View attachment 313620 View attachment 313621 View attachment 313622 View attachment 313623
That first picture is great! Rarely do you see that kind of color. Do they always look that red?View attachment 313761 View attachment 313760 I had a pair of chazutas a while back but they failed to thrive. I’m enjoying my E. anthonyi a lot as of late since they’ve been producing viable clutches for me.
Thank you. But bear in mind it took me over a hundred shots to get that one lol. Honestly though a lot of it has to do with good lighting. I use a 7500k led light and that pops a lot of the reds and greens. These guys are otherwise a bit muted in color when they’re in the shade. That first picture is great! Such stunning creatures. Darts are high on my "To-keep" list. They're like little precious gems hopping around the jungle
I would be late for work every morning in if I kept those because I'd be too caught up just staring at them for hours on end! There are a lot of beautiful, colorful animals in the world but these guys probably tie with some species of Marine fish for most spectacular! Here’s a few more
Nice! P. bicolor? Or terribilis? Here’s a few more
Bicolor although I do have a trio of terribilis too though. All in all I have a moderate sized collection. Last count not including tadpoles and froglets I have a total of 17 adult darts a trio of T corticale, and one L caerulea,Nice! P. bicolor? Or terribilis?
Honestly it’s a labor of love. I spend an hour and a half a day doing maintanence. I keep Ts to get my mind off the frogs lol.I would be late for work every morning in if I kept those because I'd be too caught up just staring at them for hours on end!
