I don’t have any scorpions but awsome ! Thanks for sharing… :pics:
I assume it hides always like a king baboon tarantula?
Usually they come out at night but they still hibernate in the winter months but because I was using my portable extraction fan to pull in warm, dry air from under the shed to dry the washing, the scorpion decided to pop out to say hello which was nice.

So wild to think of "winter" over there. It's the dog days of summer where I am (North America).

They hibernate when room temp stays 70 degrees +yearly? Oh it’s outdoors in a shed ?

Yes indeed, my whole invert collection is kept in my private shed on our property. I’ll send a pic of my collection cabinet inside said private shed.
It’s 88° outside here, maybe you just need a space heater or something? What’s the shed average. temperature?

The seasons in Australia are flipped compared to the Northern hemisphere. It's natural for these Aussie species to experience a drop in temperature now.

It's poignant to note the OP is aware of the in situ of the animal and it's habits. As opposed to the common expectations of kept animals to be visible for the keepers entertainment whenever they want.
My personal gripe is 'my AFS hasn't been out for a day week month'.... We have AFS all over our area and I've had about 15 sightings in 18 years with most of those caused by me intruding on their private nocturnal underground world.

This.

I always offer hides or burrowing opportunities. Do I sometimes not see some of my inverts for extended periods? Absolutely.

There is only one that I am actually starting to get concerned about. But to be fair it has been a significant amount of time and feeders have gone uneaten ...

AFS I’ve not kept one before , I had an emp . Are they equally as fragile as t slings ?
Better to give them a hide or some inverts go fossorial .

The one I was talking about is actually not a scorpion. So I won't go into any more detail here.

I give my scorpion slings (emp, AFS, etc) hides they can burrow down into. They feed much better with significant room and burrowing ability.

I don't recommend keeping them together as young ones although I have done it before.
