My first blue tongued skink!!

I just got my first skink and would like any and all suggestions from keepers, He is about 7-8 inches for $57. He is in a 5 1/2 gal critter cage (same for my T's) with an underneath heater on the left side. It is all covered in that Calcium Sand stuff with a good stone for basking and a Fleuker's water dish and bottle. Talk to me please.

Not sure what kind of skink you have, but Googling the name along with "care" should give you a hit.

UVB is a must.

If it is a Blue Tounged Skink, you'll need a major upgrade on enclosure size soon. I'd up to a 10g based on the size anyway. You'll want to know if it is aboreal (unlikely) to provide climbing. A hide may be useful.

Finding a specific species care sheet is your best bet, don't rely on the petstore.
