Hey all,
I ended up getting an a. geniculata s'ling a few days ago. It's very small; far smaller than Peso was when i first got him/her. A few tiny s'ling questions:

1. the dealer gave me a vial with some paper towell. I know that's normal. how long do I keep the paper towell in there though? Can I take it out now, or should i leave it? Should I re-moisten the towell every few days?

..That's actually the only question I have, so maybe i didn't need to number it. The s'ling is about 1/3" right now. His or her name is Backup, since it was the second selection after my ordered versi died.
The newest member of the family, I guess.
Thanks everyone,
Paul

In my experiences, paper towells start to mildew after a short time. You should take the paper out and put in 3/4-1" of substrate that is slightly moist.

I say take the paper towel out and substitute some vermiculite.

Good, I was getting sick of not being able to see the s'ling because of the paper towell anyway.

Way to go on your newest acquisition. I don't think that you could possibly be dissapointed with this spider.
