Hey everybody,

I've been keeping herps for a while now, but mainly tortoises and turtles. I've never had a lizard other than Mediterranean Geckos. So, for the past few months I've been doing some research. I narrowed it down to three (Bearded dragon, Leopard gecko, Blue-Tongued Skink) and ended up choosing a Blue-Tongued Skink. After reading everything I could find about them, setting up his tank, and talking with many owners of them, I finally was ready to order one.

I actually went to a reptile show in Dallas last weekend, but just missed Michael Hicks' last BTS of 10. Oh well, I'm glad how it turned out.

I'm really just making this topic because I'm a bit excited, but also to see if anybody has had experience with these lizards? I'd like to hear stories if you have them.

Here's the one I bought: http://www.captivebred.com/images/f4J.jpg

Ah, so it's true that nine out of ten skinks choose Trident!
Indeed ;)

I suppose I forgot to mention I ordered it from Donna at captivebred.com. Great person to work with! Very informative and willing to help. It should arrive on Thursday.

It was born July 11. I'm much happier to be getting a baby than the adult I was originally shopping for.

Here's the same pic from captivebred.com of mine:

If you ever decide to get a bearded dragon as well theirs a kick ass breeder in Irving. Heres her site, and imo she has the healthiest dragons ;)

Hey, thanks! I believe I've seen her at shows, and if so, she does have excellent beardies. Thanks for the tip!
