From the pictures you've provided it would appear that your gecko was never provided a humid hide box to aid in shedding, which has resulted in the partial loss of some toes. To prevent further loss of digits, make sure that he/she has one. You can still see the skin on some of the toes, which you can try removing by using some warm/lukewarm water to loosen and soften the skin.

Thank you, I noticed that as well. I don't have a humidity box yet, so I've stuck moist green moss into it's hides... Should it's humity box be located at the warm side or cool side of the enclosure?

It wasn't in great conditions. I just got hired into an LPS, and have been asked to fix the way their reptiles and inverts are being kept. This one was given to me for only a few bucks. They realized that they weren't doing right by keeping it...

I always offered both, plus a dry hide and let them choose.

Good luck with your work...sometimes just a few changes can really help the critters :)

Making a humid hide is easy. Mine are just "tupperware" from the dollar store with a opening in the side big enough for the leo to get in and out of. I then fill it up with moist coco fiber and put the lid on. I keep mine on the "warm" side of the tank (I use UTHs for my guys)- the warmth helps keep the humidity up.

My tanks are decently large (3 feet long) so there are also hides on the cool side and lots of other things to climb. I especially love these http://www.pet-tech.com/products/magnaturals.html for adding some extra climbing surfaces and just making the tank look cooler.

I dont care what anyone says- leos can, WILL, and seem to love climbing (and escape if given the means! Rio, my male, was missing in my house for close to a month before I found him sleeping in the middle of the hallway in a sunshine patch one afternoon...).

Good luck with your little guy. He looks just like my female blizzard named Stumpy. She lives in permanent "time out" by herself because she likes to attack the other girls...
