Well...In that first video of the GBB, it looks like you have quite a few crickets in there at once. I think this might overwhelm the sling. In the second video of the GBB, you just had the one cricket, but it looked to be a bit too big for it to handle and was tagging out of defense moreso probably than hunger. You said it hadn't eaten in a couple of days, but they don't necessarily need to eat every two days. GBB's have hardy appetites but I think one or two appropriately sized crickets a week should more than suffice.

I'm no expert. I don't own a GBB, but I plan to get one and have read quite a bit about them.

The prey items seem a bit large to me, but as long as they are not left unattended with the T, that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the advice! I was wondering myself if maybe it was just due to the size of the crickets, but in another failed feeding attempt i offered one cricket that i deemed appropriatly(sp?) sized and it still didn't do anything. I have been trying to feed every three to four days. depending on the size of the cricket offered.

There are too many feeders in the first clip, and it's stressing the tarantula. If it doesn't take one small, why would it react to 3-4 in various sizes running around? It's not like the more feeders you put into the small cup - the larger the chance is that the tarantula will eat. In the second clip the feeder is also too big.

My opinion.

{D they were only in for a short time, no worries. And i only did that once. As you will notice w/ my G. pulchripes i only offered one cricket, i do understand your concern, and i promise that i only want the best for my T's and rest assured they are well taken care of. Is there anything else i can clarify:confused:

i kind of have to agree on that.

crickets were way too big for the slings, but apart from that, everything else looks alright to me.

personally at that size i feed prekilled, leave it in and remove leftovers after 24 hours.

its cleaner and less hassle imho.

not trying to beat a dead horse....just wanted to mention something funny.

when the video started, it appeared that the T was good sized, maybe 3-4 inches, and the crickets were medium or something.... then the large cricket comes in.... really threw me off lol.
