Here's my first crested gecko. I got it from a breeder at the reptile expo I attended last week. I had an arboreal tank so thought I'd try one. I've always found them interesting. Anyway, I've only had leos and cresties are nothing like them care wise so this is new. I do have a couple questions. What's the best method of keeping humidity up and are there any good crested gecko books to read?

Here's the little guy!

Congrats hes cute!
The internet is your book to read lol. There are a lot of great Crested gecko breeder web sites that have all the info you need. I dont know of any books, I'm trying not to buy anymore *~* I have too many! Just search crested geckos for sale and you'll end up on the sites and just track down the care sheets.
here's one to start,

As for humidity if its a screen top you can just put aluminum or plastic wrap over 2/3rds of the top and it will hold the humidity for a good while, I mist before I leave for work and it goes up to 90%, its usually down to 70% by the time I get home at night and i mist again. I mist twice daily morning and night.

I just got my little guy recently from someone who bought him from petco and changed their mind :/ Hes super cute though, never had any kind of gecko before this guy.

Yeah, I was thinking I needed to cover part of the top. Luckily, the breeder did give me his card with his email in case I had care questions. What do you feed yours? I've read varying things. I got a package of a mix from the breeder, but I'm unsure if that's the proper thing to use. I believe it's the same brand that the care sheet you posted suggested (I can check).

I use the repashy super food crested gecko diet, the original is what I am using, but it doesn't hurt to give them dusted crickets or roaches once in a while, just no bigger than the width of their eyes. Absolutely talk to the breeder, they are usually very helpful. The super food pretty much covers all grounds and they can live off it no problem, but it never hurts to give them treats and a little variety in their diet. Repashy is pretty much the crested gecko staple though.

Yep, Repashy is what the breeder sold to us with the gecko. He had a supply of it with him at the expo.
