I'm getting one of Renee's (dragontears) little babies on Wednesday. She was so awesome, giving me a ton of pictures of each, as well as a complete description of each one's personality.
I decided on Sassy Jr (unsexed, but referred to as female), who is described as "doesn't move unless she has to. She's a huge eater and prefers to eat and sit. She's a huge love and will just sit snuggled in a hoodie pocket."
Gonna spend the weekend setting up a 20 gallon tank with appropriate heating/etc. Obviously she'll move up to a larger tank soon. I know their ideal floor space is at least 3' x 2' with a tall height not being required, but no aquariums seem to offer those dimensions, and I don't want to sink hundreds of dollars into a vision cage or something like that. We may end up custom-building something.

EDIT: Ended up buying a 40 gallon breeder tank for her. The 20 gallon didn't allow for the proper heating gradient I needed. She's gonna live like a QUEEN!

fortunately this tank only cost me $100, but i probably will build custom cages someday.
