Here's a pic of my emperor enclosure. I finally think he's happy now! He is currently 4 inches long (estimate) and lives in a 5.5 gallon aquarium. He spends most of this time a long tunnel, which he burrows into the back of. I keep a heat lamp with a 60W red bulb at one end (the drier end) which it keeps that end at 80 to 85 degrees. On the "moist side," is a water dish and a large patch of frog moss to hold extra moisture and humidity. Whatya think?

looks like a very good setup.....but i would prolly go wit a heat mat instead of a heat lamp.....less of a hassle...

Looks good, I'd try placing the the heat lamp on the opposite side of where he would go to regulate his body temperature.

Looking nice :D. I think you got everything going well.

If somehow you have problems trying to keep the humidity at the required percentage, perhaps you may want to consider using the false bottom setup.

Looks good to me! Lots of people prefer the heat lamps. The one thing I'd suggest is maybe adding some water to the substrate . . . it looks a tad dry in that pic (the moisture on the right side looks good).

:)

I like to keep one side moist, the other dry. The dry side is the hot side, the moist is the cooler. That's okay, isn't it?

Emps don't like it dry; that's why I suggested a little substrate-flooding to keep the humidity up.
