These guys are lots of fun! They grow fast too.
I have tried other Heteropoda in the past and unfortunately didn't have good luck ): But they were a lot smaller than this fella and I have talked to more people who have had success... so I am hopeful this time!

My tiny Heteropoda lunula has been growing so fast. Moulted again the other day. The 2nd time in a month.

The shed is on the tip of my little finger.

The legs are almost glass-like at that size. Very beautiful.

So tiny! I got an H. lunula sling up to just under half an inch before it died on me ): I'm thinking lack of hydration was the case, as I was watering it on schedule with my T slings (every few days). I will be checking on this little guy *every single day* and probably multiple times lol

The legs are almost glass-like at that size. Very beautiful.
It looks like a little glass sculpture! I am in love.

Make sure to keep the substrate moist. They'll die if they dry out for too long.

They also die if its to wet.. Best to give it a big encloser, this way its eazy'r to provide a wet and dryer area. Also give it someting to climb, they need it to molt..

I am pretty sure this is what happened to my lunula... a few days without a misting ):

She is in a well ventilated Container Store cube that is good size, so I can provide moisture without the air getting stagnant. It has a vertical bit of bark and a sprig of fake plant :)

Congratulations! These have seemed like a pretty cool species, especially with that name!

I keep some of my true spiders like I do my T, which is with dry substrate and a bottle cap water dish. This is a good idea with some trues and a bad idea with others. It depends on the species as either they be totally good with it or they can stick to even a drop of water. Has anyone kept this species with a water dish? Did it work for the little guy?

Edit: Usually the ones that stick to the water are on the smaller side. One species I keep with a water dish are my Eratigena atrica.
