No, all my sliings are on a strict diet of gravel and scraps of plastic I can find.

Of course they eat tiny crickets, or get creative with some scissors and an adult cricket will feed multiple spiderlings.

Sorry for the sarcasm, but was this thread really necassary?

Oh ya, all of my slings have eaten small/pinhead crickets. My L.Parahybana which was 1/4" would snatch up little pinheads in a second, toss them in they would be bouncin around and then it would just stop, look in and it is in the tiny T's fangs. Then My little 1/2" versi would snatch up little crickets too in a sec also, now she is biiger and will eat small crickets about the same size as herself. And I would say the one that took the biggest cricket compared to its size would be my little Suntiger that i just got. It took a cricket down that was its own size. Was pretty amazing, one thing I do though is rip off the back jumping legs so it makes it easier for the little ones to catch.

My little G. rosea sling never has any problem catching crickets that are about half her size, even with the back legs on. She does the cutest dance when she has a cricket in her fangs. I suppose that she is taking after me, (the dancing, not the diet!) =D

I ALWAYS try a larger cricket than pinheads.... they are darn near impossible to get and are WAY expensive. All of my slings are on small crix, and the little one-inchers will ALL eat large crix. You should see little 1" t.blondi jump on a large cricket! Beautiful!

I would definitely attempt a larger prey item... but be sure not to leave them alone. Watch your T, and if it seems scared, or just will not take the prey, remove it before the T becomes prey!

so that's why you keep writing me love letters then, right MizM? ;)

seriously though, if some people can't take a joke after all the smiley faces and all the "ITS JUST A JOKE", then i can do no more.

it's out of my hands.

i defer you all to the following post, though, for more hardcore, heart-pounding, spine-tingling, blood-racing, minute-by-minute action of threads regarding T's attempting to eat.

http://www.arachnopets.com/arachnoboards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12529

i warn you though, its looking like its gonna be a doozy. I reccomend a nice warm shower before the post.. and make sure you're seated...

;P

ah, the sarcasm again. Minnesotans just don't get it i feel,
